Clara Ann Richardson

Clara Richardson Jackson Tn Obituary

On July 31, 2025, God called His faithful servant, Clara Ann Richardson, home.

She was born on March 12, 1949 and served God her whole life. Not only did Clara grasp the love of God, she also extended it to every person that she met. Clara chose a career of teaching, which she did daily. Many hours were spent in the classroom as she loved and guided her students.

Likewise, many hours were spent in the church as she loved and guided the children of the congregation. Clara was truly a blessing to all that she met. She was dependable, patient, and always had time for whatever was going on… except on Sunday afternoons when she was busy writing a play or creating a coloring book for her Sunday night lesson.

Clara is one of eleven siblings that she has spent her life loving so well. She is survived by her sisters, Brenda Williams (Johnny), Judy Evans (Charlie), Susan Miller (Dennis), Sheila Riley (Johnny), and Dorothy Steele; and her brothers, Charlie Richardson, Jr. (Sandi), Bobby Richardson (Jorita), Pete Richardson (Gloria), John Richardson, and Allen Richardson (Sheri).

Though there are too many nieces and nephews to count, Clara loved each of them well, too. Clara kept up with each one by getting updates from her siblings. When her nieces and nephews came to visit, she would know their new favorite thing or she would ask about the sticky situations that they may be in. She was very intentional with the words she shared and the love she showed each of them. Without a doubt, each niece and nephew were covered in her prayers.

Clara was preceded in death by her morher and father. Clara’s family is comforted knowing that she is back with those that have gone on before her. What a beautiful reunion it must be!

A service to celebrate the life of Clara Richardson will be held ob Monday, August 4, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial following at Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am, two hours prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers (Clara was allergic), the family asks that you make donations to Imagination Library (specifically for Haywood County where she taught many years), Skyline Church of Christ Missions, or the Veterans Administration.

May the God of hope comfort you as you remember the love and light that Clara brought to your life.
