Drummond investigation: Reward at $32,500, JPD urges residents to review camera footage amid manhunt

UPDATE: According to a press release from the U.S. Marshals Service, the reward has since increased to $32,500.

Jackson, TN – The total reward in the search for Austin Drummond, wanted on first degree  murder and other counts, has reached a combined total of $32,500 for information leading to his arrest.

U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller expressed his agency’s unwavering commitment to the apprehension of Drummond and praised the collaboration of all the departments taking part in the search, stating, “Our priority is finding Austin Drummond and helping deliver justice for the victims’ families. The combined effort of agencies from every level including the Office of Governor Bill  Lee is evidence of our commitment to preserving peace and ensuring the safety of our  communities.”

Drummond is charged with Four Counts of First-Degree Murder, Aggravated Kidnapping, and  weapons charges in the deaths of four people, ages 21, 20, 38, and 15, in Lake County on July  29, 2025. 

TBI is the lead agency. The USMS Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force is assisting in the fugitive investigation.


EARLIER STORY (4:33 p.m.) : 

JACKSON, Tenn. — Austin Robert Drummond is wanted in connection to the quadruple homicide that occurred in Lake County. He is facing four counts of first degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and weapons charges.

Officials have been steadily increasing the reward for information leading to Drummond’s arrest. Monday, according to the TBI, Governor Lee approved an additional $10,000 for the previous $17,500 total. Then, CrimeStoppers added $2,500 totaling the reward to $30,000.

Earlier Monday, the manhunt continued as officials searched the Pleasant Plains Road area in connection to the Drummond investigation.

Currently, the Jackson Police Department is asking residents in the Pipkin Road and Pleasant Plains Road area to review all camera footage recorded between 10 p.m. Sunday, August 3, and the current time. Residents are asked to share any relevant video footage that may assist in the Drummond case by contacting 731-425-8400.

At the time of this article’s publication, Pipkin Road is temporarily closed to traffic and residents in this area are advised to remain vigilant regarding their surroundings.
