Man who reported Drummond sighting, leading to arrest, speaks to WBBJ

JACKSON, Tenn. — The man who called police and reported seeing Austin Drummond, leading to the arrest of the quadruple murder suspect, is speaking out to WBBJ.

Ricardo Contreras says he and his crew were working at a house doing some outside painting when they heard something moving in the woods. One of the workers said they saw someone walking in the woods.

Ricardo says he immediately knew it was Drummond. He shares some of the feelings that came up in that moment.

“I was probably scared, but more than scared I was nervous. I think all the feelings came out together and I was nervous but the lady on the line, she works really good and she calmed me down and that way I was available to give her all the information that they needed to know to get him,” said Contreras.

Ricardo says it’s important to do the right thing. He says, as a member of the Latin community, it’s important for him to do whatever he can to help protect his community.
