Report details Drummond’s history of violence

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. – WBBJ has obtained new documents providing more details into the criminal history of Austin Drummond.

Drummond is accused of the premeditated murder of four individuals in Lake County and is facing four first degree murder charges, aggravated kidnapping, and weapons charges. Newly obtained documents show Drummond is no stranger to criminal behavior.

A 2015 pre-sentencing report compiled by the State of Tennessee Department of Correction reflects a violent criminal history, drug usage, and attempts at self-harm.

The report was filed on April 10, 2015 and submitted to Judge Roy Morgan reflects an extensive history of running from law enforcement when arrests attempts were made on various charges.

His history includes vandalism, vehicle burglary, drug usage (specifically marijuana), theft of property, as well as an assault on his brother.

“Austin did assault his younger brother, Conor, by choking him. Austin then left the residence prior to JPD arriving. He was located at around 1830 hours, waling on North Highland near North Side High School. When Officer Chilcote attempted to take him into custody, Austin jerked his arm away and began running. He was later located in a storage building on Commanche Trail. He entered the building without permission of the owners,” read the report.

In 2012, Drummond was charged with domestic vandalism after cutting the screen to his bedroom window and leaving the home. He received charges in that incident after drug paraphernalia was discovered. He was ordered to wear an ankle monitor and he violated those terms multiple times.

In 2011, “defendant and another subject were observed hitting the window of the concession stand at North Side High School. The observer stated that he phoned police and waited. Another person with the caller saw the suspects on the roof of the school. Officer arrived and confronted the suspects who fled on foot. After a chase, the two were captured,” according to the report.

In the report, Drummond admits to his drugs of choice being marijuana and Xanax.

The report also states “defendant chose counterparts/friends with a delinquent history.”

Additionally, the report reflects a history of self-harm incidents where Drummond made attempts to harm himself by hanging himself, using an allergy to create a potentially deadly reaction, and trying to drown himself in the toilet.
