What’s New Wednesday: Eden Salon
JACKSON, Tenn. — A new business is taking a mindful approach to hair care.
Eden Salon opened earlier this summer in north Jackson.
Owner and hair loss practitioner Hayley Gabert tells us that as a holistic salon, she works to find clean and sustainable hair care lines you won’t always see in the normal market.
“They’re very mindful about the ingredients that go in the products themselves, and just using like botanicals and just alternatives to the toxic stuff they would be putting in normal hair color,” Gabert explained.
Along with low-toxicity hair color, Eden Salon also offers herbal head spa treatments, which come with a scalp assessment to identify clients’ personal needs.
Another unique aspect of the salon is services designed to help those experiencing hair loss.
“Like I said, I’m a certified trichologist, so like a hair loss practitioner, so I specialize in being able to identify the type of hair loss that someone’s having, and then I can also put them on a plan to help them regrow their hair, depending on the type of hair loss they’re having,” Gabert said.
Gabert says that the idea for the business was born from being naturally-minded, and when she realized she wasn’t implementing that lifestyle at work, she decided to cut her own path.
Now, with her very own salon, she’s striving to provide a kind and calming environment where people can find helpful alternatives that are not always typical in the industry.
“Knowing that I’m not exposing people to toxins, knowing that I have actual solutions that work, that is, like, that gives me a lot of joy, to know that I can help people,” said Gabert.
Eden Salon is located at 19 A North Star Drive. Gabert tells us typical operating hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
