Kids compete in Crockett Co. kiddie tractor pull event

FRIENSHIP, Tenn.—In Crockett County, one event has the little ones pedaling away to win first place.

The Crockett County Young Farmers and Ranchers hosted its Kiddie Pedal Tractor Pull.

The event kicked off at 10 this morning at the Crockett Mills Community Center in Friendship.

Contestants registered on site and the event had a fantastic turnout.

Kids ages 4 to 12-years-old competed to see who could pedal a loaded down tractor the farthest distance.

And of course, the contestants had family and friends there to cheer them on along the way.

Trophies were awarded to the winners in each age group.

“We’ll have trucks and tractors come out tonight. Next weekend we’re going to have our Arts and Crafts Festival and that’s going to be combined with our car show. Come out and enjoy it. We’ve got plenty of shade. We’ll also have food vendors and plenty of food there as well. All that’s free, so come on out and enjoy that. It’s a great family event,” said Nicky Burgess, member of the Crockett Mills Community Center Board.

The main Truck and Tractor Pull happens tonight as the West TN Cotton Festival continues in Crockett County.

That event kicks off at 7pm at the Crockett Mills Community Center.
