Unique Line Dancers celebrate 3 years!

JACKSON, Tenn.—One local dance group is celebrating its three year anniversary!

Unique Line Dancers hosted an event to mark 3 years of making moves and helping to unite the local community.

The family-friendly celebration took place at T.R. White Sportsplex Saturday from 10 until 2pm and was more than just dancing.

The event featured guest speakers, food and booths set up from organizations including Jackson State Community College, Eagles Nest Family Services and more offering useful information for guests.

Unique Line Dancers hosted the event to show others that being involved with the group is about more than just dancing. It’s a community outreach and a way to bring people together to have some fun.

“We had several groups to come. We’ll be dancing at the African Street Festival this month on Saturday downtown, right here at T.R. White,” said Nikki Pettigrew, Public Relations.

The group offers free dance classes three days a week. On Mondays from 6-7pm at the library in downtown Jackson, Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30pm at the NAACP, and Thursdays from 5:30-6:30pm at T.R. White Sportsplex.
