BOLIVAR, Tenn. — One local county holds their monthly commission meeting to discuss recent lawsuits while also honoring a special woman.

They discussed an update to the lawsuit against the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Department. The lawsuit has reached up to one million plus in legal fees. The lawsuit was filed in 2019 by multiple plaintiffs employed at the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Department that allege they were not paid for overtime, their timesheets were altered, and their rate of pay was incorrectly calculated.

Also Tuesday night, they honored Sandra Kelly, who passed away earlier this year. She was a historical archivist for Hardeman and Madison counties.

“I, Todd Pulse, Mayor of Hardeman County, along with the entire commission, do hereby set my hand in seal, this nineteenth day of August, 2025, in remembrance of Sandra K. Kelly,” said Mayor Pulse.

They will hold their next meeting September 16.
