WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:

Today’s cold front has brought a little cooler temperatures but a nice breeze out of the north is making it feel nice this evening. Temperatures will be a little cooler on Thursday and lasting into the weekend. Much cooler and shall we say “Fall Like Weather” is on the way to kick off next week. We will have the latest on the cooler weather and let you know if we have any rain in the forecast anytime soon; all coming up right here.

THIS WEEK:

The cold front moved through and stalled out during the day on Wednesday. The front brought a few pop up showers but most of us missed out. Rain chances are very low through the weekend into early next week so hopefully you picked some up earlier in the week. Highs still reached the mid 90s still and overnight lows will fall down to around 70°. Skies were partly cloudy early in the day and will remain that way overnight. The winds were light and maybe a tad breezy at times as the front passes and came out of the north all day long.

Chances for rain are only 20% as of now but we will be watching the location of the front as it moves into our area on Wednesday. Highs on Thursday will reach the low 90s back down to near normal. Skies will be partly cloudy and winds will continue to come out of the north. Thursday night lows will be nice and fall into the upper 60s.

Friday looks like a mostly dry day. Rain showers cannot be completely ruled out but the weather is looking pretty nice for the first full weekend of High School Football in West Tennessee. Friday will still be a bit warm but much cooler than it was when we kicked off the week. Highs will reach the low 90s and expect some early sunshine with a few late clouds moving in. Rain chances are 10% and the winds will be light and come out of the north between 5-10 mph.

THIS WEEKEND:

The weekend weather looks like it is going to be really nice across West Tennessee. Rain chances are currently below 10% both days. The winds will be light and come out of the north. It may be a bit breezy for a few hours when the next cold front will move through. Timing on that front is still yet to be determined but it looks to come through sometime during the back half of the weekend. Highs will reach the mid 90s on Saturday but cool down to the low 90s on Sunday. The humidity looks low for West Tennessee standards which will feel nice. Saturday night we will drop to the upper 60s but Sunday night lows could fall all the way down into the mid 60s. Expect a mostly sunny and very nice weekend, you should make some outdoor plans!
