Henry Co. organization meets to decide how to save a local piece of history

PARIS, Tenn. — One organization meets to discuss preserving a piece of architectural history in their town.

The Henry County Historical Society held its regular quarterly meeting Thursday evening at the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center.

The main topic? Preserving Grove Tower.

Several speakers were on hand to present ideas and potential next steps for the preservation, repair, and adaptive reuse of grove tower.

“Our goals are to repair Grove Tower, to restore, parts of it, renovate it for adaptive use, and preserve it for future generations,” said David Webb, president of the Henry County Historical Society.

This iconic structure is listed on the national register of historic places and remains a significant piece of Henry County’s architectural and cultural heritage.
