PRESS RELEASE FROM THECO:
THECO TO HOST ‘TASTE & TELL’ EVENT, FEATURING AN OPPORTUNITY TO TASTE WHAT IS NEXT FOR WEST TENNESSEE’S FOOD SCENE
Jackson, Tenn. (August 21, 2025): theCO will host Taste & Tell on September 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., which is your chance to see what is next in West Tennessee’s food scene. The event marks the finale of ScaleUp Kitchen, a program that empowers local food entrepreneurs for regional success.
This come-and-go tasting event is at The Stella in Downtown Jackson. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door, and include food samples from each of the featured businesses.
This year, ScaleUp Kitchen has worked with food entrepreneurs who are creating everything from custom catering menus to unique baked goods and specialty food products. The ScaleUp program has given these entrepreneurs the tools and confidence to take their businesses to the next level. At Taste & Tell, attendees will get a first look at where these businesses are headed next. This is a relaxed, come-and-go event that is open to everyone. Guests can move at their own pace, sampling small plates, grabbing a drink, and joining conversations about the big ideas shaping these food businesses.
“I’m excited for Taste & Tell because it’s the perfect blend of good food, great people, and meaningful conversation. There’s nothing better than watching our community rally behind local businesses while enjoying an incredible night of flavors,” Lisa Tucker, program facilitator, said.
The businesses featured at this event include: GotDough Cookies & More, Two Sisters Bakery, Chicago Jerk House, SugarSpoon, Chelle’s BBQ Soulfood and more, Gylden Bake House, Symon’e Seafood Station, Epulum LLC, Mocha Flava Catering & Event Planning, Blissful Boards Charcuterie Co., Divine Grille, and Gimme Sugar Bakery.
