Very Mild Weekend on the Way, Even Cooler Next Week!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
Areas in West Tennessee are now under a moderate drought for the first time in several months. This map will be worse next week as there does not appear to be much, if any rain at all in the forecast over the next week. It sure felt nice today with the lower humidity and even cooler weather is coming next week. We could be falling into the 50s for a few mornings next week and highs may struggle to even hit 80° a time or two as well. Catch the latest on the cooldown as well as your Friday night football and weekend forecast; coming up here.

THIS WEEK:
Thursday was a rain free day as the front moved completely through West Tennessee and stalled out south of us keeping the rain away. The humidity was much lower with the dew points only reaching the low to mid 60s in the afternoon. Highs on Thursday still reached the upper 80s to near 90°, back down to near normal. Skies were partly cloudy and winds continued to come out of the north. Thursday night lows will be nice and fall into the mid to upper 60s.

Friday looks like a mostly dry day. Rain showers cannot be completely ruled out but the weather is looking pretty nice for the first full weekend of High School Football in West Tennessee. Friday will still be a bit warm but much cooler than it was when we kicked off the week. Highs will reach the upper 80s or low 90s and expect some early sunshine with a few late clouds moving in. Rain chances are 10% and the winds will be light and come out of the north between 5-10 mph.

THIS WEEKEND:
The weekend weather looks like it is going to be really nice across West Tennessee. Rain chances are currently below 10% both days. The winds will be light and come out of the north. It may be a bit breezy for a few hours when the next cold front will move through. Timing on that front is still yet to be determined but it looks to come through sometime late into the weekend or early into the day on Monday. Highs will reach the low 90s on Saturday and stay in the range for Sunday as well. The humidity looks low for West Tennessee standards which will feel nice. Saturday night we will drop to the mid 60s but Sunday night lows could fall all the way down into the low 60s. Expect a mostly sunny and very nice weekend, you should make some outdoor plans!

NEXT WEEK:
The coolest weather since late May or early June is on the way for next week. A cold front will pass by early on Monday or late Sunday that will usher in cooler and drier weather with it. We should still see mostly sunny skies on Monday but more clouds and even a shower or two could show up on Tuesday. Tuesday is the best shot for rain in the forecast but it is only 20% at most. Highs will stay in the 80-85° range into next week with morning lows between 55-60°. The winds will stay out of the north all week long making for some really nice weather. If you have been waiting for cooler weather and a taste of fall, this is going to be your week!
