LIFTED: PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE

Saturday, August 23rd 5:18 p.m.

The precautionary boil water notice for Lexington Utilities customers issued on Friday, August 22nd, for the west portion of Henderson County has been lifted. Water samples have been tested and confirmed to be safe. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding throughout this process. As a reminder, this was a precautionary measure taken out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of your water.

PRECAUTIONARY Boil Water Notice
Friday, August 22nd, 2025 2:00 p.m.

Lexington Utilities water customers located in the western portion of the county who experienced low to no water pressure on Friday, August 22nd, due to water main repairs will be under a PRECAUTIONARY boil water notice. Western portion of the county includes the following communities: Sand Ridge, Huron, Independence, Bargerton, Crucifer, Blue Goose, Luray, & Beech Bluff.

Samples are currently being taken throughout the system. Please boil water meant for human consumption until further notice. We will update on social media and through CodeRed when the notice is lifted. We anticipate the notice to be lifted this weekend. We appreciate your cooperation on this matter.
