JMCSS prioritizes employee wellness with annual weCARE event
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County School System kicks off the third year of the weCARE initiative at South Side High School.
Guests were encouraged to put on athletic shoes and dress in neon colors, earning 75 weCARE points.
The program is intended to improve the quality of life of all faculty, staff, students, and families in all aspects of wellness. Several local organizations were on-site to provide care.
Participation provides a connection with others to build meaningful relationships, and support social activities and events.
“weCARE is our employee wellness program where we focus on wellness and the whole person so we have mental health wellness, physical wellness, financial wellness as well as selfcare. We put those components into our weCARE program,” said Diane Hicks-Watkins, associate superintendent.
The weCARE initiative is available to all faculty, staff, and students for the school year.
