Local nonprofit donates school supplies to Lincoln Elementary

JACKSON, Tenn. — One local nonprofit presents a special donation to a historic school.

The Top Ladies of Distinction donated essential school supplies to Lincoln Elementary School Tuesday.

All members of organization gathered the supplies. Some items donated were backpacks, notebooks, crayons and color pencils, and all the essentials every kid needs.

Former president, Pamela Springfield, shares why the Top Ladies of Distinction chose Lincoln Elementary School.

“Lincoln Elementary school is a part of our history in Jackson, Tennessee. Some of the top ladies attended Lincoln Elementary not in this building, but over on Berry Street,” said Springfield.

Every year they donate to a different school as part of their literacy program.
