Positive Living Group to host butterfly release for National Grief Awareness Day

JACKSON, Tenn. — Every year on August 30, residents from across the country gather to promote National Grief Awareness Day.

To help acknowledge our loved one who have passed on, the Positive Living Group is hosting their annual butterfly release.

Participants will be able to release butterfly’s for $10 each, and buy a poster sized picture of their loved one, which will be placed inside Liberty Park.

The event will also have food, entertainment, and live music that will be free and open to the public.

“We know that it’s hard, we don’t want you to feel alone we want you to create this environment where it can be more of a celebration the a morning type of thing. Just making people feel comfortable and that’s the plan, that’s what we want to do,” said Raven Reid, assistant coordinator.

The event will be hosted at liberty park this Saturday, August 30, and will run from four to 5:30 p.m.
