SWAT team responds to west Jackson home

UPDATE (1:52 p.m.) — From the Madison Co. Sheriff’s Office: ” The Madison County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in reference to an ongoing criminal investigation. Two suspects were taken into custody. One suspect was taken into custody in reference to a criminal investigation and the other suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. No further information is available at this time as this is an ongoing criminal investigation.”


JACKSON, Tenn. — We bring a developing story following reports of a large law enforcement presence in one part of the Hub City.

Early Tuesday morning, our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Team was alerted to a SWAT team presence.

The incident occurred on Mason Street in west Jackson.

Our team arrived at approximately 7:30 a.m., and we could see a SWAT truck parked outside of a residence, with multiple officers outside.

There were also members of law enforcement inside of the home.

Neighbors informed us that they heard the team break down the door of the home earlier in the morning.
