Birth Choice to hold annual ‘Walk for Life’ on October 4
PRESS RELEASE FROM BIRTH CHOICE:
Annual Birth Choice Walk for Life
Birth Choice will hold its annual Walk for Life at 9 a.m., Saturday, October 4th, at West Jackson Baptist Church. The Walk provides an opportunity for the community to fundraise for Birth Choice, promote the value of life in the womb, and support women and families facing unplanned pregnancies.
The Walk for Life uses peer-to-peer fundraising. In the weeks leading up to the walk, walkers ask friends and family to “sponsor” them by pledging or donating to Birth Choice. Walkers may also choose to participate by showing up the day of the Walk and donating any amount. Participants meet on October 4th to walk together, show their support for life in the womb, and enjoy several activities. People can register or learn more at birthchoice.biz/walk.
Walkers can expect a 1.5 mile walk, food, games, a craft booth, a “gospel illusionist” (similar to a magician), a petting zoo, and more. Admission is free for sponsored walkers/families and donors. The event is stroller and wheelchair-friendly.
Last year, over 1,000 women received vital pregnancy support, and 106 precious babies were saved from abortion when people around the community answered God’s call to partner with the Birth Choice mission. Sadly, many women around West Tennessee never find Birth Choice or receive the loving support and resources they need. Birth Choice is asking for help from the community to reach these women and empower them to choose life for their preborn babies.
Birth Choice’s goal is to raise $100,000 from the Walk for Life. The funds benefit all Birth Choice locations and Mobile Clinics that serve the West Tennessee community. For more information about the walk, email tiffany@birthchoice.us or call 731-453-8159.
