Overdose awareness event to bring night of remembrance and support

JACKSON, Tenn. — International Overdose Awareness Day is coming up on Tuesday, September 2.

An event in the Hub City that’s open to the public will mark the occasion that evening.

Residents are invited to join in on an evening of remembrance and support, featuring recovery speakers, overdose prevention resources, and a remembrance ceremony.

It will take place from 6-7 p.m. at Liberty Park, located at 24 Channing Way in Jackson.

The project is funded under a grant contract with the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
