Bolivar to host 9/11 remembrance event

BOLIVAR, Tenn. — An event marking the 24th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks is coming to West Tennessee.

On Thursday, September 11, the Bolivar Fire Department will host a 9/11 Remembrance event.

The itinerary includes a breakfast buffet open to first responders at Backwoods Restaurant, from 6:30-7:30 a.m.

At 7:45 a.m., a memorial procession will travel from the restaurant to the Bolivar Fire Department.

At approximately 8 a.m., a brief memorial program will be held at the fire department. This event will be open for public attendance.

The ceremony is expected to last under an hour.
