NEWS RELEASE FROM CROCKETT CO. SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
CROCKETT CO., Tenn.—The following information was announced to Crockett County Sheriff’s Dept. – Tennessee Facebook page.
TENNESSEE HIGHWAY SAFETY OFFICE AWARDS CROCKETT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE $30,000
The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office, under the leadership of Sheriff Troy N. Klyce, has been awarded a $30,000.00 grant by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office to continue the great work our deputies are doing to make our roadways safer.
We are seeing a dramatic decrease in minor and major wrecks in our county – especially on Highway 412. Also, it has been almost 17 months (504 days to be exact) since a fatal accident has occurred in our county! This grant and our deputies – along with your safer driving – is literally saving lives.
Thank you to EMA Director John Pinto for his outstanding work as our grant administrator. He is an incredible asset to our county and we appreciate his work overseeing all of our public safety grants.
As a community, all of this news is worth celebrating!
As a side note, Gadsden Police, Bells Police, and Maury City Police received a $10,000.00 grant each.
