GALLERY: Protest in Jackson calls out ‘government takeover’ by billionaires

JACKSON, Tenn. — Protestors took to the streets with signs and banners to voice their concerns about claims of a government takeover by billionaires.

From 12-2 p.m. on Labor Day, Indivisible Jackson protested outside the Madison County courthouse in downtown Jackson.

Organizers with the group claim billionaires are converting the government into their “private slush fund” and are taking money from working families, putting it into billionaires’ pockets, and setting it aside to fund a private army of ICE agents.

The group says thousands of communities across the country are taking a stand on this Labor Day.

Leaders with Indivisible Jackson say their movement is fighting for a country that is more fair, just, equitable, and free for all.
