JEA wins ‘Best Tasting Water’ award

PRESS RELEASE FROM JACKSON ENERGY AUTHORITY:

JEA Wins Best Tasting Water Award

Jackson, TN – Water distributed by the Jackson Energy Authority has been declared the “Best Tasting Water” in Tennessee and Kentucky.

This recognition by the American Water Works Association was announced at their Kentucky/Tennessee Association Conference meeting in Knoxville, TN earlier this year.

The competition judges, selected by the AWWA from a panel of scientists, engineers and professional chefs, based their rankings on the clarity, scent and flavor of each water system entry.

Robert Mullins, JEA Sr. Vice-President Water Division, summarized, “This recognition highlighted the outstanding work of our Water System personnel and the exceptional quality of the water our customers receive.”

The water produced through JEA consistently meets or exceeds State and Federal standards, including those set by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Now declared the “Best Tasting Water in Kentucky and Tennessee,” JEA will advance and compete with entries from across North America in the next American Water Works Association Conference and Exposition in 2026.
