Let’s kick this off in tiger territory. As our team of the week
will go to Bruceton. They had a big win
on Friday against a Gleason team winning with a final
of 19 to 14. In this game it came down to the final
possession and the defense stepped up big time.
Now well be honest it has not been a lot of success.
For Bruceton the last couple of years matter of fact this is the
first time since 2017 they had a 2-0 record.
Head coach Clay Mcmackins finally had a
full offseason with them and gives credit to the weight room program
that’s been able to get his guys stronger and teach them the fundamentals. He also
spoke to winning Friday night and what he tells his players now that they are receiving recognition. Let’s hear it coach.

“Well you know the kids are the main focus here they really focused on getting better themselves you know they been through some hard times the past couple of years they really stepped up defensively you know they’ve had a rep for being bad defensively and maybe having a little to much fun on the offense and they really stepped up this year defensively and worked really hard on that i think a big key to the victory. You get rewarded from hard work your hard work put you in a position that people noticed you working hard and coming out with some good wins
and some good opportunities that means you just keep working. That doesn’t mean you stop now
and you get happy with what you’ve done so far you just keep going and keep accomplishing so
thats been the biggest message just to keep going.”
