First Presbyterian Church offers help with its Blessing Box
JACKSON, Tenn.—A Jackson church is helping to support the community’s needs with a blessing box.
First Presbyterian Church located at 1573 North Highland Avenue has a blessing box open now and available to the community.
Inside the blessing box are items that someone might consider as a blessing, like food, baby items, toiletries and more.
The donation box not only offers help to those in need but gives those wanting to give an easy solution to do so.
The blessing box is located on the grounds of the church next to the Coatsland Drive parking lot entrance.
The most common items donated are non-perishable food items.
Some of the best options are canned goods, macaroni and cheese, jarred pasta sauce, dry pasta and beans, applesauce, fruit cups, as well as shelf-stable milk.
“We can barely keep enough food in there. We loaded it up yesterday and last night it was gone. I know it didn’t just go to one family that came by, it went to numerous families because I saw them coming by and taking things that they needed and leaving things that they didn’t,” said John White, Senior Pastor at First Presbyterian Church of Jackson.
The Blessing Box at First Presbyterian Church is open and available for donations or collecting needed items at any time of day.
