FREE FEMA Appeal, Mobile Legal Clinic & Community Resource Fair to Deliver Disaster Relief and Career Pathways 

Helping Hands of Middle & West Tennessee and West TN Legal Services, in collaboration with  the Hardeman Chamber of Commerce, invite the public to a FREE FEMA Appeal, General  Mobile Legal Clinic, and Community Resource Fair designed to provide disaster relief  support, legal assistance, life-changing career opportunities and community resources— all in one location. 

 

The event will bring together multiple community partners to offer services that address both immediate needs and long-term goals. From filing FEMA appeals to launching a new career  in healthcare, attendees will have access to vital resources at no cost.

  • Cost: Free and open to the public

Highlights Include:  

  1. FEMA Disaster Relief Appeals & Legal Aid 
    • West TN Legal Services will assist with FEMA disaster relief appeals.  Free general legal consultations on housing, benefits, landlord-tenant disputes, and more.  
  1. Helping Hands of Middle & West Tennessee Workforce Training Programs  Helping Hands of Middle & West Tennessee will present on The Power of Postsecondary  Education, with a special focus on our Dental Pre-Apprenticeship Program:  
    • Free Tuition — No cost to enroll.  
    • Monthly Stipend — $400 per month paid quarterly while in training  
    • Flexible Schedule — Three days a week, three hours per day.  
    • Career Pathways — Direct connections to dental careers upon completion.  On-site recruitment and application assistance will be available for those ready to enroll.  
  1. Community Resource Fair 
    • Mental health referrals, financial literacy resources, health and wellness support, and  more from local service providers.  
  1. Food & Community Gathering 
      • A local food truck will be on site so attendees can enjoy a meal as the event runs near  dinner time.
