9/11 Ceremony held at Jackson Regional Airport
FROM KYLE BARRON, DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL PROJECTS, JACKSON REGIONAL AIRPORT:
9/11 Salute – Honoring Our Heroes
Today at Jackson Regional Airport, we gathered in somber respect to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001 — and to honor those who continue to serve and protect our communities every day.
Firefighters, law enforcement officers, TSA agents, county commissioners, and our County Mayor AJ Massey joined together to reflect on the impact of that day — especially on the aviation community, which was forever changed.
9/11 reshaped how we fly, how we protect, and how we come together in moments of crisis. It reminded us of the bravery of first responders — and the strength of unity.
To those who continue to answer the call — our firefighters, police, deputies, emergency personnel, TSA, and elected leaders — thank you. Your service matters.
We will never forget.
