Community Foundation of West Tennessee begins search for new president

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Community Foundation of West Tennessee’s president Dr. Frank McMeen is retiring after leading the nonprofit for 25 years.

Dr. McMeen has been involved with the Community Foundation of West Tennessee for the last 27 years. His original goal was to simply grow the organization into a strong nonprofit.

What ended up happening was a growth so large that now, the Community Foundation is one of the largest nonprofits in West Tennessee today.

Here’s the advice Dr. McMeen offered for the next president.

“Love people and build relationships. That’s how you grow any foundation or nonprofit. Initially, when I became president of the foundation, it was about growing the foundation into a large, very stable organization,” said Dr. McMeen.

Dr. McMeen will remain president until the new president is named.
