Craft festival held in the Spring Creek community
JACKSON, Tenn.—One community event showcases the work of local artisans.
The Ledge organization of Spring Creek presented a craft festival this weekend.
The Spring Creek Craft Market took place at 3581 Highway 70 East in Jackson.
Sunday morning the event began at 11 a.m. and continued until 4 in the afternoon.
Organizers say they created the festival to not only support local crafters but also as a way to unite the community.
At the event, local vendors were on hand with several craft items for sale.
Items included woodworking, jewelry, clothing, candles, baked goods and several other handmade items to showcase.
“I think we have about, I would say 60 percent new vendors and 30 percent returning. That sounds about right to me. We have some familiar faces and it’s always nice to see the new ones trying it out. Some people are first timers and have never done a craft market before,” said Devin Johnson, Creative Director at the Ledge.
The family friendly event was free and open to the public.
