COLD CASE APPEAL FROM SHERIFF TROY KLYCE

CROCKETT COUNTY, TN [September 15, 2025] – As we near the 20 year anniversary, we are reaching out to our community today regarding the tragic case of Marcus Antoine Moore, whose life was cut short at the age of 22.

On October 7, 2005, Marcus was found by a passerby, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. His body was discovered off Highway 152 and Cox Road, leading to an extensive investigation by the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab.

In the aftermath of this heartbreaking event, Marcus’s vehicle was found abandoned and burned in Memphis. Despite our efforts and the dedication of countless hours of investigative work, justice for Marcus remains elusive.

We now turn to you, our community, for help.
