Dyer Junior Firefighters hold walk honoring 9/11 victims

MESSAGE FROM JESSICA RUDD, DYER FIRE DEPARTMENT JUNIOR FIREFIGHTER TRAINER:

My name is Jessica Rudd. I’m the Dyer Fire Department Junior Firefighter Trainer. I want to take a minute to show the appreciation, the love, and the motivation from my Dyer Junior Firefighters wanting to remember 9/11 by walking 4 miles Friday September 12 @ 7pm.

The love, respect, and support from everyone along our path. It’s melted our hearts to watch people come running from their houses, pulling over on the side of the road and cheering us on and showing so much love and respect.

I want to thank the Dyer Fire Department for the support and helping us get everything together and walking with us.

We also had Zach Culver from Bradford Fire Department that joined in the walk. Along with AEMT Blake and Paramedic Duncan was there to walk and support us along the way.

I’m so proud of each and every person that joined us and we will never forget these moments.

Just like we will never forget our 9/11 lives lost that day.
