U.S. Chamber of Commerce: AI surging among small businesses
A new report from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce reveals a quiet transformation happening on Main Street: small businesses are rapidly embracing advanced technologies—especially generative AI and crypto—to transform how they operate and grow.
This isn’t just another tech trend, it’s a practical, strategic shift with real benefits for everyday businesses.
And the stakes are high. Small businesses employ nearly half of the U.S. Workforce, so how they adapt to new technologies has ripple effects across local communities and the national economy.
“In fact 60% of small business owners, nationwide, are using some form of generative artificial intelligence now, and that’s things like Gemini or ChatGPT,” said Jordan Crenshaw, senior vice president at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Nearly all small businesses are using at least one technology platform, and more small businesses are embracing multiple types of technology.
