Contestants bring their A-game for return of ‘Taste and Tell’ in the Hub City
JACKSON, Tenn. — The sounds of the “Hubtet” filled The Stella event venue as Taste and Tell returned to downtown Jackson for the second time.
This event hosted by theCO and funded by the Ford Philanthropy serves as an opportunity for local kitchens to bring their A-game for a contest.
Guests could get in for $10 and test each of the groups’ prepared taste tests. Also, guests could vote for the group they thought had the “best bite.”
“So we recruited from a few counties around Madison County for the program and it’s a program that they’ve been participating in since June, so they attended workshops, they’ve had one-on-ones, and the showcase is kind of a culminating event,” said Lisa Garner, CEO of theCO.
The event continues with a private pitch competition tomorrow.
The event serves as a place where entrepreneurs can try to expand across west tennessee.
