Tipster call alerts to incident on Steam Mill Ferry Rd in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn.—A tipster call leads us to a large police presence on Steam Mill Ferry Road in Jackson.
Just after 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, we received a call from a WBBJ Eyewitness News Tipster who notified us of a large police presence, along with EMS units in the area of Steam Mill Ferry Road.
Our crew arrived on scene to find four Madison County Sheriff’s Department vehicles present as well as one vehicle that appeared to have taken extensive damage to its front. Airbags were also deployed on that vehicle.
Our crew also witnessed what appeared to be two ambulances and one sprint unit leaving the scene.
We reached out to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department for further details and received the following statement.
“It was a motor vehicle crash and our reconstructionist is in the process of working the case now,” according to Jeff Wall, Director of Operations, Madison Co. Sheriff’s Office.
No further details are available at this time.
