Golfers help raise funds for veterans during annual Semper Fi Golf Tournament
JACKSON, Tenn. — Earlier Monday, the Captain Jack Holland Marine Corps League Detachment 735 hosted their annual Semper Fi Golf Tournament at the Jackson National golf Club.
The tournament is hosted by the members of Detachment 735 who are all honorably discharged United States Marine Corps veterans. All money raised will support local veterans in the West Tennessee community as well as Toys for Tots.
“We’ve been doing it 10 years now–grown it every year, and the Jackson community and surrounding counties have been very supportive of our golf tournament because our mission is helping marines, sailors and veterans with the money we raise here,” said Bryce West, commandant of Captain Jack Holland Marine Corps League Detachment 735.
This is the 10th year for the event and 22 teams participated.
