Asia Garden celebrates 40 years in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. — One local restaurant is celebrating decades of business in our area.
Asia Garden in Jackson has been serving customers delicious food for 40 years. It has become a staple for so many people in West Tennessee.
Eddie Yeh, the owner, tells us how the years have been.
“Running your own business, especially a restaurant, it is something different everyday and every week. It’s a battle. Timewise, it starts kind of blending in after a while. You just get used to the rhythm,” said Yeh. “You wake up in the morning and you start cranking away. Close up at night and the next day rinse and repeat and do it again.”
Yeh tells us how important the Jackson community has been for them over the last four decades.
“It is everything for us,” Yeh said. “It’s the reason why my mom and dad originally relocated here to Jackson 40 years ago. They’ll tell the story of not knowing anything about the town coming in and the first impression was just how absolutely nice and helpful everybody was.”
If you have never been to Asia Garden then you are truly missing out. If you do get a chance to go, here is what to expect.
“Just an overall nice experience,” Yeh said. “We try not to be too pretentious. We like to consider ourselves pretty casual. Our staff has been here, some of them, for decades now.”
They have started decorating to celebrate their 40th birthday and Yeh says it has been an honor to be a part of this community.
They are located at 660 Carriage House Drive in Jackson, in the Hamilton Hills shopping center.
