Brown makes court appearance in connection to Drummond case, gets hearing date

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — One of the individuals accused of assisting quadruple homicide suspect Austin Drummond while he was on the run from police was back in court Thursday.

Tanaka Brown appeared in Dyer County General Sessions Court on charges of accessory after the fact to first degree murder and tampering with evidence.

Brown’s attorney told Judge Jason Hudson that new evidence had come to light and the defense was requesting the court to continue the hearing on October 13.

There was no objection to this request by the District Attorney.

Brown is currently being held in the Dyer County jail and will be back in General Sessions Court on October 13 for a preliminary hearing.
