PRESS RELEASE FROM JACOB BARKER MUSIC FESTIVAL

Jacob Barker Music Festival Returns October 3–4, 2025 — A Free Celebration of Local Sound
and Community Spirit

JACKSON, Tenn.—September 22, 2025 — The Jacob Barker Music Festival is back this fall, lighting up downtown Jackson on October 3rd and 4th with two days of live music, Southern flavor, and heartfelt giving — all in support of Make-A-Wish Midsouth. Best of all? Admission is completely free.

Now in its 9th year, the festival invites you to join them on Oct. 4th at 6:45, where there will be a check presentation to Make A Wish Midsouth. This year’s event features a dynamic new partnership with the Hub City BBQ Fest, creating a fusion of rhythm and smoke that’s expected to draw record crowds.

Proudly sponsored by A & A Maintenance, the 2025 festival is a testament to what happens when local businesses, artists, and volunteers unite for a cause that truly matters.

What to Expect:

•All-Local Artist Lineup: The stage will shine with homegrown talent including Will
Burton, Kelso Mojo, Will Beyer Band, Herz, Soul Shakers Society, Paula Bridges and The
Bandstand Review, Emily Grace McGill, and many more — showcasing the heart and soul of
West Tennessee’s music scene.

•BBQ + Beats: Thanks to the Hub City BBQ Fest, attendees can enjoy watching an
award-winning barbecue contest while soaking in the sounds of the South.

•Wishes in Action: Every donation and sponsorship help grant life-changing wishes for
children facing critical illnesses.

•Family Friendly : Activities for all ages, local vendors, and interactive experiences make
this a true community event.

•Local Power, Big Impact: Organized by passionate volunteers and supported by
generous sponsors, the festival reflects Jackson’s heart for giving back.

“This isn’t just a music festival — it’s a movement,” said Ronnie Barker, co-founder. “We’re building something that brings people together, and makes a real difference for kids and families across the region.”

Admission is free. Donations to Make-A-Wish Midsouth are encouraged and accepted on-site and online.
