Memorial service for Charlie Kirk held in Union City

UNION CITY, Tenn. — One local community remembers the life of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

City leaders along with local church communities gathered to honor Charlie Kirk with a memorial service in Union City.

They has multiple speakers who shared the word of god and even sang worship music.

“Well I think it’s important for us as a community of faith to just be reminded that our victory is in Jesus. And even though we’ve experienced this tragedy and even though Charlie’s physical life is over, we know that he continues to live and he’s now with the Lord. And his legacy lives on because our Lord lives and we serve a risen savior and so we come together to worship him and celebrate that fact,” said Obion County Mayor Steve Carr.

One of the organizers for the event stated she was called by God to host the memorial service.
