Cypress Grove Nature Park to celebrate 40 years Saturday
JACKSON, Tenn. — Earlier Tuesday, Cypress Grove Nature Park hosted a press conference to announce their upcoming 40th anniversary.
The event is hosted by the City of Jackson, in collaboration with Jackson Parks and Recreation.
We spoke with Cypress Grove Nature Park recreation coordinator, Darius Mullin about what to expect for the celebration.
“We’re going to have some activities, we’re going to have a recognition of people who are significant to the park’s history, we’re going to have food trucks, we’re going to have live music from some talented local musicians. Also going to do shorter nature walks where we’ll take you out and talk to you about the raptors that we have here–the birds of prey. So, lots of stuff going on 10 to 2 on Saturday!” said Mullin.
Cypress Grove’s 40th anniversary celebration will be held on Saturday, October 4.
