MVP of The Week Tyshaun Jeter

MVP of The Week Tyshaun Jeter

It’s Wednesday so we start things off with our MVP of the week  and it
will go to Tyshaun Jeter. Running back
and safety for the South Gibson Hornets.
On Friday he had one of his best performances
up to date. Jeter had 4 carries for 147 rushing yards and
two touchdowns. While on defense 6 tackles , two tackles for
loss and one forced fumble. Which helped beat Dyer county 35 to 0
and of course the talk of the town was Jeter fighting off
like all 11 players on Dyer county to have one of the biggest runs
of the season and of his career. He possess a lot of power when he runs
the ball and looks to absorb contact and deliver punishment like an Adrian
Peterson or Jerome Bettis. On defense he seems like he always has a knack
for being around the ball and making the big play. We caught up with him
at practice and he spoke about Fridays performance, his mindset when he
ran through the entire defense on that one play and what type of running
back he is. Take a listen.

“Never giving up on myself always going 100 percent even when i’m tired i always go a hundred percent which led me having the great game that I had. So we went out there i knew i was getting ball normally i’m pretty hesitant before i get the ball but that play i dont know something just kicked in me and i didnt want to go down at all i would say im a power back i aint gone do to much juking im just gone run you clean over so you better get low and wrap up or some if you dont same thing gone happen with Dyer County.”
I love the confidence get out
the way or get ran over. To catch mr Jeter
and the hornets in action they travel to Lexington
on Friday to face off with the tigers. Kickoff
is set for 7:00 pm.
