Arrests made in construction site crimes

ARRESTS MADE IN CONSTRUCTION SITE CRIMES
CROCKETT COUNTY, TN [October 2, 2025] – The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of 47-year-old Randy Sherrill and 26-year-old Joseph Riddick in connection with a series of criminal offenses, including vandalism, burglary, and theft, that took place on September 26, 2025.
Deputies responded to a victim reporting burglary and theft of tools outside of Maury City. Evidence collected at the scene lead to the apprehension of Sherrill and Riddick. Both individuals have been charged with a single count of each:
- Vandalism under $1,000
- Burglary (a felony)
- Theft over $1,000 (a felony)
These crimes are currently under investigation by the Crockett County Criminal Investigation Division. Sheriff Troy N. Klyce emphasizes the importance of community awareness and cooperation in addressing criminal activities in our neighborhoods.
