Nice Through the Weekend, Rain Chances Back Early Next Week!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
The extreme drought has been eliminated as of now but a severe drought still remains for most of West Tennessee. We really do need more rain and there will be a few chances as we kick off next week! The mostly sunny, dry and mild weather continued on our Thursday in West Tennessee.

There were only a few clouds and we will only see a few clouds hanging around on Friday as well. Weather for football looks terrific on Friday and nice weather will stick around for most of the weekend. There is something trying to brew up east of Florida that could drift into The Gulf and bring some rain chances back early next week. We will have the latest and full weather forecast coming

September ended up being the 8th warmest on record for Jackson. Highs in general were about 5° above average each day. We only had 4 of the 30 days register below average. We only saw about 50% of the rain we typically get as well.

THIS WEEK:
The great weather continued on Thursday with mostly sunny skies sticking around in West Tennessee. There were a few clouds in the morning but they moved out quickly during the day. Highs reached the upper 80s again and the winds were light and came out of the southeast by the afternoon. Rain didn’t come down in West Tennessee but a few showers popped in Missouri and Kentucky. Thursday night lows will drop down to around 60° as the skies clear out. Friday will be a little cooler but sunny skies are still expected. Highs will reach the mid 80s and overnight lows could fall down into the upper 50s. Friday night football looks great again and the winds will be light and staying out of the southeast.

THE WEEKEND:
Another great weekend looks to be on the way for all of West Tennessee. It will be our first weekend of October but the weather will NOT be October-like at all. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s this weekend with morning lows starting out in the upper 50s both mornings. There will be some clouds on Saturday and maybe a few more clouds on Sunday. There is an outside chance of a weak system trying to move up out of The Gulf but there is little confidence in that system impacting us this weekend. The winds will be light and come out of the southeast all weekend long. We will call it a 10% chance for rain on Sunday and a 30% chance for rain next Monday, but do not get too excited, we are not expecting much if anything at all. Make some plans as we do not know how many nice weekends we are going to have left before some actual fall like weather is on the way.

NEXT WEEK:
Shower chances will return as we get going into next week. Chances will start on Monday and increase in percentage on Tuesday and Wednesday. There appears to be a possible system brewing up in The Gulf that may drift to the north and bring some rain our way. There is also a cold front coming in on Wednesday that may also spark up some rain and storm activity. The showers chances will clear out by Thursday as the front moves out. Highs will start the week in the low 80s but could fall to the upper 70s but the end of the work week. Morning lows will start the week in the mid 60s but could fall into the low 50s behind the front later in the week. The winds will have an easterly component to them most of the week. Plenty of clouds will hang around from Monday through Wednesday but clearer skies will return on Thursday and Friday.
