Scotts Hill celebrates 200 years with special ceremony
SCOTTS HILL, Tenn. — Exciting news for the community of Scotts Hill. This year, it’s celebrating a truly historic milestone, 200 years alongside the 43rd Annual Appreciation Days Friday.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the long-awaited unearthing of the community’s time capsule.
“It has a lot of meaning to us, especially the ones that’s a little bit older now to see this event. A lot of them are tied to the school system as well here. We fought all our life, to keep the schools here in Scotts Hill, and we hope that it continues that way,” said Randy Miller, former mayor.
The fun will continue on Saturday, beginning at 10 in the morning.
