The Jackson Clinic Welcomes New Nephrologist

(Jackson, TN) The Jackson Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Yasmin Mahmoud to its Nephrology department. Dr. Mahmoud brings twenty years of volunteer, professional, and research experience to a highly skilled team of nephrologists.

Dr. Mahmoud earned her medical degree at Ahfad University for Women’s School of Medicine in Omdurman, Sudan. After graduating, she completed an internship and medical service at the Sudan Ministry of Health. She has also completed two Internal Medicine residencies; one with the Sudan Medical Specialization Board, and one at the SUNY Downstate University Hospital of Brooklyn in New York, where she also finished her ACGME Fellowship in Nephrology.

She holds several certifications, including the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), Step 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), Parts 1 and 2 of the Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP) in Internal Medicine, and Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) from a workshop with the ED Ultrasound Division Director at SUNY Downstate University.

Dr. Mahmoud is now seeing patients at the Jackson Clinic North Campus located at 2863 Frontage Road.
