14th Alzheimer’s Caregiver Conference brings important resources to West TN residents

JACKSON, Tenn. — A special caregiver conference is held Tuesday.

The 14th annual Alzheimer’s Caregiver Conference took place at Union University’s Carl Grant Events Center. This conference provided helpful information on caregiving, coping, and other valuable resources related to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

“To be able to talk with others who are going through the same thing, same emotions, same things that are going on at home. So we do offer support groups. We like to be able to just let people call our offices in the senior services department or over west tennessee neuro, just to talk with some folks. We have people over there that will help you as you’re going through those day-to-day activities,” said Regina Smith, guest and senior services manager for West Tennessee Healthcare.

This year’s theme was “A Survival Kit for Caregivers.”
