Union City Police alert residents to trick-or-treat scammer

FROM THE UNION CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT ON 10/8/25:

We received notice of a scam from a local business stating they received a phone call from a lady named Sam claiming to work for the Union City Police Department.

She is asking if businesses want to place an AD on a bag for us to hand out at Trunk or Trick and claiming the funds are for Shop with a Cop.

We will NEVER call you to request funds over the phone for anything.

We are currently asking for sponsorships for our golf scrabble for Shop with a Cop so if you have any questions please call us at 731-885-1515.
