City of Jackson Fire Dept. hosts a Truck or Treat
JACKSON, Tenn.—The Jackson Fire Department presents a sweet community event.
The City of Jackson Fire Department hosted a Truck-or-Treat Saturday as part of its Fire Prevention week of activities.
The fun took place at 720 S. Highland Avenue from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The community was invited to come enjoy a little pre-Halloween fun while also learning more about fire prevention and safety. This year’s theme is Charge into Fire Safety – Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.”
The family event invited children and adults as well, to dress in their favorite costumes, enjoy some delicious food, fun activities, check out the fire trucks and of course have some candy.
“A lot of time when we encounter folks within the community, it’s in very stressful environments and we wanted to invite them to come out to meet our folks and also our partner agencies. Several fire departments and law enforcement and EMS folks have also come out,” said Chief Don Friddle, City of Jackson Fire Department.
Many sponsors also helped to provide the event including SERVPRO, Team Caldwell, Jackson Coco-Cola Bottling Works, American Fire Protection Group, and more.
