Another Heat Wave Begins
Weather Update: Monday, October 13 —
Good Morning West Tennessee. We’re starting the morning off with cool fall like temps and not too far off normal. However, as mentioned last week a ridge is expected to begin building into the region starting today, and persist through the nd of the week. the net effect will be the status quo. Temps will steadily climb through the 60s and 70s today to around 77-79 by lunchtime then spike to around 81°F around 2-4PM.
The average high temperature for Mid-October is 75°F. Therefore today is quite warm. It will get worse as the week progresses. In addition, with blocking high pressure present, rain chances will remain nil at best. We’re watching for a cold front sneaking in by this upcoming late weekend, but it has the ridge to contend with. I am not all that confident the rain will be all that widespread or meaningful, but we’ll take what we can get in the meantime.
