Vehicle crash leaves power poles downed, traffic blocked in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — An early evening crash Monday knocked out power in one part of the Hub City.

The crash happened on McClellan Road and Shadow Ridge in northwest Jackson.

When our crew arrived on the scene, they found traffic blocked as Jackson Energy Authority crews were working to reset a broken utility pole and downed power lines.

Leaders with JEA say the power outage affected nearby customers and that power restoration would take a couple of hours.
